Cleaned contacts at the steering wheel. Upon pressing the horn pad there is a clicking sound which is emanating from the horn relay though no horn sounds.
Noticed a burn under the blower relay and surmise that too many amps burned the wire from the horn relay to the horn. blower is fully functional although i would like to repair the relay mount since that is burned also. don't want to be stuck on a winter day and have no defrost.
so...
how does one replace the relay mount? any pitfalls or advice? a search revealed that there might be screws on the rear of the PDB that allow access to the wiring below. did not see any.
I have never taken one of those off before. Can you even get a new one if you do get it off? If you can't find a new relay base, the only thing I can think to do is buy the universal sockets with pigtails and wire them in.
