was browsing craigslist sunday and noticed a 79 F250 2wd being parted out, called him today asking how much he wanted for the bed, he said $250, went and looked at it, it's a Cali truck, only rust other than surface rust is tiny amount over right wheel, gave him 150 deposit so he'd hold it, he threw in the rear bumper and a cold air intake duct as well. so now my truck will look more like a truck, and less like a skeleton. just had to share the good news, thanks guys.
i looked a lot, and they were either really far away and inexpensive, or local and cheap and pieces of junk. but this is be the best of both worlds, local, and cheap and in good shape. one unplanned thing though, is just found out i have a hernia that needs repaired
Sounds like you got a solid bed for your money. Its hard to find any thing up here in PA unless its imported from the south or west. By then you paying top doller.
