PTO winch question
Ive owned several trucks with Ramsey PTO winches...so im familiar with them, but im going to be picking up a truck with a Koenig PTO winch, does anyone know of any inherent problems with the Koenig, or specific weaknesses? All the info i can find suggests that Koenig was in 3rd place for market share behind Ramsey and Braden, so stuff like spare parts will likely be more difficult/pricey

Looks like Koenig has become RKI. RKI - Commercial Grade Truck Equipment - Products
Probably a plenty good winch, looks like 8000lb is the common size, also looks like they're pretty old. But, hey, I'm running a 1972 Warn on my stuff... LOL

i'll disagree gently. my dad's 94 dodge, that we have differences over, has been incredibly reliable. 195,000 with no major repair. not too bad for junk. he's getting ready to retire, and i'm trying to convert him from a small chevy problem, and a life long mopar confusion, to ford. it ain't 1969 no more dad, 440 6-pack super bee's ain't cheap no more

I had a 92 W250 for a couple years, and yes it was very nose heavy w/ the Cummins power plant,of course the Warn 8274 and bumper on the front didnt help any....LT235/85R16 tires werent exactly flotation tires,either......Im very happy with my 3 year old 07 Dodge.....I was interested in the Ford, but no one was able to realistically suggest that the 6.0 Power Stroke was the equal of the 5.9 Cummins
