05 6.0 problems

Ive been researching this site for a while, so any help would be great. I havent found the same symtoms as mine. When engine is cold 55 degrees it bucks worse then it does warm. No smoke, hold it to the floor bucks wont rev too much. When warm you can tell a little it has a problem,I noticed the boost will not rise above 18lbs before it was 25lbs. Ive seen where someone said 30lbs. 150000 mi changed both filters Edge juice with attitude. Does this if the edge is off or on, good egts. Where is the ebp at? pulled the egr didnt look real bad. Thanks

ebp is on the left side of the engine. there is a tube on the left manifold follow it up and the ebp will be on the other end.
you may have a possibel ficm or injector issue going on.

When it ran right,so I thought I only was getting 13 mpg empty in the 05 excursion 4x4. My friend is getting 20 mpg in his 2000 excursion 4x4 with the 7.3. Ficm might have been replaced, I will check. Thanks

Cleaned egr ran a little better. Drove it with it to the floor for awhile let off for traffic floored it again, it sounded like it sucked a puff of air or spit something out and ran better RIGHT THEN. runs like it did when I bought it 2 months ago surely it still only gets 13 mpg

My guess would be sticking veins. Sounds exactly like the issue I had last year with mine. Is it a daily driver, was it sitting a while before you bought it, have you checked it for codes.

A REAL Italian tune up is basically hold the car at redline in any gear, 2nd/3rd works best depending on what road you are on, for 2-3 minutes. This gets everything really hot and burns off carbon deposits etc. Of course it should not be attempted on a car where proper preventive maintenance has been done.

I drive it everyday. The previous owner didnt drive it much, said it was getting 17mpg. If the exhaust had a problem the egts would show right? Still doesnt run right, havent checked for codes.

That right there would lead me to believe it has sticking veins in the turbo...been there, done that.
