A make over for my Ex.

So in the last few days I did a few things that I've been itching to do to my Excursion.

Here I removed the honeycome grille and painted it to match the body color.

I painted the door handles to match the body color.

Also installed some cab lights.

And painted the mirrors to body color.

And the best addition of all, I got my grille guard by Westin, I like it very much.

So what do you guys think of my new additions? Let me know like or dislike.

well i like the cab lights...

The rest is not so much my taste, but thats just me and my .02 cents.

Looks great, but you need to upgrade to the tow mirrors.

You don't know what you're missing with those tow mirrors...you can see almost everything behind you! They look really good on the truck too...

Yeah agree these oem mirrors do suckabit when I tow, would 09 mirrors fit? Has anyone on here done the 09 swap?

I agree on the tow mirrors, once you have them you'll never be satisfied with anything else. Clearance lights look cool, where did you get them/how much and how hard to install?

what is that on your roof rack? i like the bullbar and the lights, also the clearnce lights. them mirrors need to go in trash.

Yep, I also agree, those mirrors hafta go. Maybe some more agressive tires?

Yes the 08 plus mirrors work, even with the added power fold/extend. Just a little of wiring work, but its more about the $, cuz they are pricey.
The 09's up now have the top and bottom mirrors heated, where the 08 just had the top heated. You can also get the darker recon lights for them, something I have not done yet.

Comparison with the 08 plus to the pre 08's

I know that this wasn't part of your make over, but get rid of the stick on air deflectors. Look into weathertech, alittle more classy. I agree, a more agressive tire to help lower mpgs. Thats my worthless two cents until I help you foot some of the bill.

What did you use for your door handles?!? Krylon spray paint?! True color matched would look 100% better. I have some left over. Probably enough to top coat all you handles if you want it. Drop me a PM if you do.

Not sure about the MLM websites pasted all over your truck. Talk about rolling spam...
