I think I might be able to start working on my turbo this weekend. I believe I got everything figured out except for the return lines. Do I have to reroute them? And if so what is the best way? Will I have to get a new kit?
Most turbo motors have a single nipple with the return line only going to #5 injector from #7 injector.
They move the cross over to the even bank up to the front injectors or between #3 and #4 injectors.
The reason is to get the return line away from the down pipe.
I have seen motors with turbo's installed and still running the stock NA return line setup though.
Also, till you get the turbo installed, you are probably going to disturb the return lines enough that you may want to replace the O rings anyway as a preemptive strike against air intrusion.
Thanks Dave. I'll get the turbo then see what will be the best way. I was confused because I think I've read where they need to be changed but then I look online for kits and some places say the NA and turbo take the same kit.
