water pump

had to pull leaking water pump but can't get fan/clutch off,any tricks?

Does it say anything on the fan shroud?

I never ran into a screw on fan clutch, will have to rent the wrenches, do not have any that fits.

leave the belt on, put a wrench on that fits, and whack it with a BF hammer to the left, it will come off by hand after it breaks loose. be careful not to slip and whack the rad, or you'll be spending more money

Already got everything off to do a head gasket, thought it would be easy on floor, learn something new everyday.

you might can do the same thing in a vise, but be careful, the pump is cast iron, and will break easy.
