The worst part is taking off and re-installing the fan hub. Other wise it really is not all that hard to do.

Do you know of any web sites that would help for step by step installation?

Thank you very much ! That's very informative! By the numbers beside it, it looks like you got them out of a book, which book is that?

Talking Water pump Tools

Remove the fan and clutch assembly using Fan Clutch Nut Wrench T83T-6312-B and Fan Clutch Pulley Holder T94T-6312-AH. Set fan and clutch assembly in fan shroud (8146) Where do you find these tools. Auto Zone only had Fan Clutch Pulley Holder T94T-6312-AH A bunch of Large tools Not what I need. So I took off the Water pump And shroud and Clutch. In one unit. But still have the same problem.

I believe that a 1 1/8 end wrench will work if you grind the surface down a bit to clear the fan to clutch assembly bolts. I did this and it worked great. If your going to do the job, consider using the IH version with the screw on filter, only a couple easy mods to do, and I know I've seen great directions from someone on this site to complete the job. Good Luck!

I think the wrench he's talking about is the large 1 7/8 inch wrench that fits right on the big nut between the water pump and the fan clutch.
