new ip?
how's the exhaust coming along?
sounds like both of you have your boost levels where they should be now.congrats.
now which of you will sell me your turbo? LOL.
Funny that the problem was so simple - when I was adjusting the IP fuel screw, I pulled on the throttle cable at the IP leaver and it looked good. I guess I needed someone in the truck to press the pedal to be able to see the cable sleeve move back from the retaining clip. Once the gas pedal's released - it slides right back into place looking like nothing's wrong.
I was happy with the truck before. I knew the problem would be solved - but I'm even happier now that it's a simple fix and I don't have to spend a lot of $$ .
The mechanic was very honest - I have to travel on Sunday for two-to-three week business trip back east and he could have told me to leave the truck with him. Then on my return; say that I needed to have the IP rebuilt, new injectors, heck - he could have thrown on new fuel rail return line to sell the story... Instead - he grabbed a tie wrap and shared a good laugh with me...
I'm still waiting for the 4" tail pipe on back order and I 'm going to order a longer 45* 3 1/2 pipe to mate the intermediate pipe with the 3" down pipe.
First thing I'll do when I return from NC.
I know there are many out there that would have had you leave the truck overnight, then hand you a huge bill telling you all they did, when they only changed a 35 dollar throttle cable.
And you would have been so happy with all that extra power, you probably would never have questioned the bill.

I figure if my lesson helps another owner (or newbee) down the line... that's a good thing.

people helping other people so that others know what to look for or what to do or what not to do.
