I like the front-end I've always wanted an early-mid '70s F-250 because I love that front-clip so much, but look at the pumpkin. It's on the wrong side. The guy used Chevy axles when he built this.
I assume you're just kidding. Use whatever works. There's a number of reasons to use a Chevy D60 front (if it is a D60), including more parts availability, easier to convert to 35 spline, better calipers, stronger knuckles and a stronger housing overall.
If you can get a right-hand drop t-case under there, go for it!
While it may nbe easier to find parts, and have some better features, to me, it just seems wrong to take a Ford and put anything other than Ford on it. Just a personal beef for me, no offense to anyone who does this.
It hasd always bothered me to see a really nice classic Ford built up all nice and sweet, only to be driven by a Chevy powerplant and or drivetrain!
Guess when it comes down to it, if you cut me, I bleed Ford Blue!
If he used a chevy dana 60 front end, or dodge, they were also on that side, it is no big deal, it is not a chevy part, it is a dana spicer part, don't matter what it was under, just so long as the engines a ford.
the image wasnt reversed. You can clearly read FORD on the hood. True. this isnt a hard thing to fake but why reverse the photo and then go to the trouble to fix the word FORD on the hood just so people will think you have your pumpkin on the wrong side.
I have to disagree with dassmoof. Even though we know that the pumpkin would still be on passenger side, there is no other evidence besides the word FORD as to which side is which. so, if someone had, for some odd reason, flipped the picture and also took the time and effort to correct the word FORD, we would not be able to tell if it was the passenger side or not. there is no sight of a steering wheel. Ok.... hardcore people might note also that the antena is on the wrong side and also the windshield wipers are on the wrong side.
But I agree with the others.... the trees are DEFINITELY backwards!
