Cool Bronco - Bad Choice
This thread has got to be the greatest tribute to this site that I have seen to date. Where else can you discuss the "moral dilema" of utilizing something OTHER than a Ford component on a Ford product? Rock on guys.
And if I may venture my personal opinion. The use of some components other than Ford factory issue may be a "sacrilidge" to some, but remember most of us are running someone else's aftermarket performance component somehwere on our rigs. Even if its just a lowly K&N ail filter. Now, the idea of the greater sacrilidge of utilizing a component from a less respected (at least in these forums) vehicle is mildly disturbing to me. A Ford 4x4 coming towards you is recognizable for many reasons: the Blue Oval, the F.O.R.D. across the hood, and for most the front diff hanging under the driver's side of the truck. Its a distinguishing mark, an icon if you will. The owner of this truck must simply deal with the genuine possibility that should someone snap a photo of it and manage to keep the body out of the frame, it could be mistaken for something other than what it proports to be.

I think the dodges before 1994 had the pumpkin on the same side as chevy's, I can't remember, but i am pretty sure they did. Either way, it might be off a chevy, but it is not really a chevy part, it just took longer then others to see the light.
