Header question...

I haven't decided what I am going to put on my truck, but I have a 78 F100 SWB, 2WD. I am dropping a 351W in, and came across a guy that has some Hedman Headers for a 302, they are shorty style...curious if they would mount to the W, and if they would fit in the truck set up...he said they fit a Fox Body Mustang...thanks for the help. Not sure if it matters, but the W is out of a 85 Econoline...

They will bolt to the engine and you have a pretty good chance they will fit.

I drove to Muscle Shoals once to pick up the truck in my Avatar its a bit of a drive, and as helpful as I might seem I can't even seem to get my own projects finished. Heck I haven't worked on my Comet in 9 months.

Nice...it is a little drive from KS...but the info is just as good! I've been scratching the ole' noggin about your signature pic...looks like you have a Nagant, I would venture a guess on the second as a 30-06???, Some type of Mauser (guessing due to the lack of visible magazine well), and can't really tell, but maybe a Browning Pistol of some sort?? and maybe a ??? don't know...a 270?

3 Mausers and a Swiss Army rifle on top, it has the cross and shield just like the pocket knife. Listed from top to bottom they are 7.5x55, .308 Norma mag, 6.5x55, and .220 Swift. I like custom mausers its kinda my thing. That swiss army rifle is a tack driver hands down the best rifle you can buy for under $200, they were never in any wars so thier guns are nice. Pistols are a Heritage .22 and a CZ75 SP01.

The pistol was the CZ75 SP01 18+1 of 9x19, and if you like the Spaniards you should try some of the Czeck stuff or if you can find it pre war german stuff, but the best shooting of all the mausers in stock form are the Swedes in 6.5x55. Guns are my primary hobby the truck is kind of a side hobby, used to be cars where at the top of the list but then I found out you could build a rifle not just a car. Still some of my favorite guns are the ones that are bone stock like that Swiss K31.

Probably a good thing you are in KS, and I am in AL...sounds as like we would be able to find trouble! I do appreciate all the help thus far...If I can find a pan tomorrow, I hope to get the engine dropped in, and hopefully running. But haven't been able to find anyone around that has a pan...been looking on ebay as well, it's not going to be a show truck, so I don't care what it looks like...but thanks again. Hopefully I can pick those headers up...guy has them for $30...he says they are in great shape...haven't had a chance to look at them, but maybe tomorrow or next week.

It takes time, my swap took about a week longer than I thought it would and I'm still working on a few small things.
