The 300/302 don't share timing gears by chance do they ? I have a 300 setting in garage and was wondering where the block # was located to know what vintage it was ?
A 'DuraSpark 2' dizzy, is the distributor Ford made on these engines starting in the late 70's. It is a bullet-proof 'dizzy'. When an engine is highly modified, one needs to change the springs in the distributor to determine when the v. advance activates. That is called 'recurving' the dizzy.

I'm looking to put the 300 back into a 78 ford I bought .Just to have something no one else has . I'm not to sure how it will run down the road with the 35" tires it has . The main part I feel I'll work around is the Clifford dual header/dual 4bbl intake combo he has on the main page .
Dual 4BBLS? That's one way to kill the 300's fuel mileage. One small 4BBL is more than adequate for these engines, you can run a pretty hot one on a properly set up 2BBL as well. No need for that much carb even on a V8 on the street.
I believe what you are looking at is actually a dual 2v intake. I recently interviewed the owner of Clifford's, and saw the intake for dual 2v Webber carbs, with progressive linkage. Dual 4v's would be way too much cfm for a 300.
Most of C's stuff can be found elsewhere for less than half the price. Also, a lot of it is designed for heads with sbc over-size valves, fully p&p'ed, which would run well over $1,000 alone.
Below you can see the Clifford set up. And it is a dual 4v set up. For the dual 2v set up he charges extra for the adapters!
