Truck decoding??

I know this might be a bothersome to some people but I see that people are always asking to decode there truck and have always wondered about mine. So the plate on the driver's door reads as follows.

F106RE57010

WB 117
Body AT4
Trans K
Axle 15 or a I5
DSO 725123
Max GVWR 05300

There was nothing under the color though??

Breif description; 79 F-100 302 w/C6 sb. It's painted white but the inside is tan so I think that is the original color?? I bought it off a guy in Vacaville, CA. and he told me he bought it from the vacaville school district that bought it new in 79 for one of there maintenance vehicles.

I'm interested in seeing how this turns out.

Thanks!!

Yes, San Jose, Ca.
Special order means this wasn't a truck that was built for dealer stock. It was special ordered by the customer, common with fleet purchases.

If the code is blank under COLOR, the truck was painted using a custom color at the assembly line. This also will turn the truck into a special order.

Look in hidden spots like under the bench seat to see its original color.

I called 1-800-392-3673 and Ford is sending me a build sheet for my truck. They said it might take 4-6 weeks. Don't think I am going build it back to factory but I thought it would be neat to see how close it is now from factory and just interesting in general. It was free too.

Does the VIN on the door warranty plate match the title? The reason I ask is you said it was sold to you as an F350. The VIN you posted is for an F250.
You might want to verify your actual VIN number matches the LEGAL frame VIN.
A 4WD model VIN should start with F36 but I dont show a 4WD F350 until '79.

The frame VIN is stamped in two place on the frame, one visible and one hidden.
The visible VIN is stamped on the top right frame rail. It could be anywhere from the radiator support to just in front of the firewall but the most common location is about inline with the alternator.
The hidden VIN is also on the top right frame rail about 6" behind the front cab mount.
