New Here, Problem with a missfire.
I have a 2000 Ford Expedition with a 5.4l 150,000miles
I brought it to the shop with a hard missfire and the need for a new right headgasket.
The hard missfire would come and go. It would only miss when the throttle was applied.
I paid $1400 for a New Gaskets, Labor, used coil pack and new injector.
The oil leak is fixed, the hard missfire is fixed.
Now it misses and idles really low when I am not on the throttle. Typically between 500-800 RPM, anything over that and it is completely smooth. No check engine light.
I brought it to the shop that did the work and they said there is nothing wrong with it. They said they reset the cam sensors and cleaned the MAF, but the problem is still there.
What is desired IDLE RPM on a engine at operating temp?
Any thought on my missfire at Idle?
