My '94 powerstroke bellows white smoke when i start it up. After it's warm it still smokes but just a little bit. But when i get it up to about 2000 rpm it stumbles and smokes. I was thinking i might have some bad injectors, but i heard it could be my o-rings, is there any way to tell without pulling my injectors?
White smoke at startup is sometimes normal in cold temps but if it does it alot or when it is warm that is a sign of glow plugs or relay. The stumbling is a whole different issue. It could be that you do actually need o-rings. Do you have any oil in the fuel filter or is the filter and fuel in the bowl dark? Is there fuel in the oil?
First off, welcome to FTE, I am thinking that is injector o rings, I have heard if you put your truck in neutral and then rev it, if it stumbles in that middle rpm range than your o rings are going.
