not a mech.

have haynes manual but need to locate temp sensor on 300/straight 6.

need diagrams on on same

Be ready for some sore abs! Its under the #6 exhaust primary tube.

It depends on which sensor. The gauge sensor is under the #6 exhaust manifold like said above. The computer temp sender is on the thermostat housing next to the heater hose and upper radiator hose.

Also, if its the one under the exhaust make sure the engine is cool, otherwise boiling coolant drains all over you.

What year engine do you have? If it's an older carb engine, there'll only be the one on in the back, under the #6 exhaust port.
