ball joint replacement
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has a parts list breakdown showing all the seals and such that will need replacing when I change my balljoints. I have Racerguy's how to printed out with the pics and stuff and have the balljoints but I still need to get the seals. Will Napa know which seals ii need if I take the info from Racerguy's post with me to get them?

My tires were wearing on the inside edge. The lower ball joint is under the most load and if it has excessive wear, the tires will wear on the inside. You can jack the tire off the ground and move the tire/wheel from the top and bottom. Look and feel for movement in the ball joints. If they are bad, you will see excessive play. You can always take it to a tire store and they can check it.

Jack one side up at a time and see if each wheel moves top to bottom only, if so, it is the ball joints. If it moves in all directions then probably wheel bearings.

Wheel bearings make a groan like sound as they die.
Ball joints may clunk as you go over a pothole.
If it is a metallic ding like sound, it is the sway bar ends.
If it is a metallic chunk that sound like it is coming from the floors, check the shocks.

The kit says it is for a 99-04 super duty. Has anyone seen a kit for an 05+?

Finally got truck back together before the rain came. replaced all 4 along with brake pads and rotors. rotors had bad rust chucks and where grooved. just need to have alginment checked and also going to put new shocks on the 4 corners. sway bars bushings hwere also going so put new links up front too. suspension should nice and tight and happy
