Since I don't drive my truck in the bad weather, and I have had this overboost problem from the turbo sticking in full boost(24,000 miles), is there a fuel additive I might use that would slow the rusting of the variable vanes in the turbo. I was told Lucas fues treatment is good. Maybe a replacewment turbo that is not variable? thanks 2004 6.0 Harley F-250
Fuel additive isn't going to particularly help your problem. You can pull the turbo off and clean it. Instructions are in the tech folder.
I also believe there is a thread about fuel additives in the tech folder. Or do a search there is a lot of info out there.
Power service is probably the most popular as it is the most available. Beachbumcook also did a great write up somewhere about why it is superior to the other brands.
