Monroe vs Ford shocks

Here is an interesting thing to look for.
On my E 350, the Ford stock shocks have a big nut on the lower side of the top shaft, just above the sliding "cover".
So it is relatively easy to remove the shock because you can hold onto the not there.
On the Monroe / NAPA part, the nut is about 1/8" thin, and there is no room to "grip" it with a normal wrench.
So the next person that does the shocks... will be.. less fun.

Bilstein shocks were the best I was told so I bought some for the rear of my E350. Some fun! There is almost zero clearance to the body at the top and the Bilstein does not have a nut to stop the rod from turning. No turn and no room was a nightmare.
