Edelbrock Shocks

Hey all, I have a set of the Edelbrock Performer IAS shocks on my '94 EB (6 in all), and while I think the shocks are a great improvement for the ride, they tend to be quite weak. I am not sure if I got a set of shocks from an early production lot, but I have now replaced 3 of the 6 shocks under warranty, and I only installed the set in May. My Bronco has no lift, and runs the stock 31x10.50 tires. What I have seen on 2 of the 3 bad shocks is something inside breaks, and then the shock becomes a spring. After removing the shock, I cannot compress it at all. This makes my Bronco quite squirrley on bad bumps and potholes.

Has anyone else installed these shocks and experiencing any problems with them?

If you decided to buy these shocks, spend the extra money and buy them locally. I purchased mine through National Tire & Wheel, and you have to pay for all the shipping for warranty claims. Edlebrock pays for the shipping to your door, then you pay to ship them back. If a product is under warranty, I feel there should be no more out of pocket expense as it is the product's fault that it failed.
