Power Loss in Reverse
I have been resurrecting a "farm truck" that is in surprisingly good condition with only 150K on the ODO .. been through most of the issues .. still have plenty of "bolt-on fixes" to go .. shocks .. hidden hitch .. ignition key replacement .. door keys .. seat belts .. interior dress-up .. etc ..
.. but .. now that I have gotten her running and am starting to put her back to work today I went to back my trailer with a modest load and had no power .. engine running fine but no gas pedal response at all .. like it was stuck even though it was moving .. "sticky" might be a better description, but also no throttle response at all ..

.. trying to back a trailer over uneven ground at "idle" is just a joke when your buddy can push (man-power .. not an assist-push with his truck) the truck to help it move the trailer .. and humiliating as he owns a different brand of truck .. have already checked the fluid level .. it's good .. runs and shift fine in forward gear ..
.. so is there a vacuum line loose/holed somewhere that could cause this??
.. suggestions??
.. ideas??
.. it was the throttle body linkage .. the plastic ends are worn and one side had popped off ..
.. and there was a vacuum leak too .. fixed that as well .. never-ending list at this point .. but I enjoy the challenge ..
