I am doing the complete EGR Delete and Oil Cooler rebuild and here is what I got so far:
First Coast performance FULL EGR Delete with new intake
New oil cooler
Dieselsite coolant filtration system
2 ball valves for the filtration system
extra filter
RMI-25 coolant system treatment
Rotella T oil
Motorcraft Oil filter
Things I am getting at the dealer tomorrow:
4 gallons of Motorcraft Gold anti freeze
VC9 treatment (iron cleaner used to flush the cooling system)
gray Permagasket (dealer only???)
Also Getting:
18 gallons of distilled water from the local grocery store.
Do I need any gaskets? (im pretty sure Cheezit said the intake gasket was reusable but are there any other gaskets)
Screen under the cooler (part number???) (is it called a HPOP screen???)
What else do i need? (Im going and I dont want to leave anything out)

I have not seen many guys, actually none, that changed the thermostat. I did not. The intake gaskets are reusable as long as you are careful not to damage them. You will understand when you see them. Oil cooler rebuild kit includes all the seals and gaskets. You may need a dab or two of the overpriced gray Permagasket. I got lucky, My tech buddy had a tube. I do not recall what year your truck is. If it is an 05 or newer, I would replace the STC fitting on the HPOP pump. Around $45 but you are 90% there when you have it torn down this far. Be meticulous in your cleaning of the oil sump under the oil cooler. This is where the HPOP screen lives. Any thing that gets past the screen goes through the HPOP pump. Bad thing.

This is how i performed the bb mod on my truck. This mod is to boost fuel pressure up from 55 to about 75. First i removed thermostat housing by removing using a 10 mm. I then pushed the thermostat housing to the front to give me room to remove fuel pressure regulator. Then remove the line on the fpr. The bolts on the fpr are a t27 torx. Remove all four bolts holding it to the upper fuel filter. Watch out because the spring has it under pressure. Make sure the spring and brass poppet valve doesnt fall out. Take a .177 bb and slide it in the brass poppet and reassemble everything. You will lose some coolant doing this mod so make sure you have some on hand. Some companies sell a longer spring but the bb is cheaper

These are ford part numbers? How much is this stuff?? Do you need to upgrade anything else at the same time? Do the new parts come with any dangers or anything I should know??
I don't know of any dangers. Just take your time, do it right and once. You have to lift the turbo to change out the oil drain tube, Might as well pull it off and recondition it.
you can recondition your whole turbo for $60.00?? Thats crazy!! How long does it take to do both?
Thanks for the great tips man!!
I didn't need my truck being I have another vehicle.. I stretched it out over 3 days. Day 1 took if off ; day 2 recondition turbo ; Day 3 Put back on ...I am not a mechanic it did take me a good part of the day to remove it. putting it back in a 3-4 hours of hours. If you need info on removing the turbo let me know. I have a good write up THANKS to other member's of FTE.
THEY GOT ME THROUGH IT!!!!
