lights on the dash flashing

Ok here we go sat in a traffic jam this morning and turned the truck off. Well I tried to restart it and all it would do is click and the gauges would sweep. Well got a jump start and it started back up. Now I'm at work and it is doing it again what gives. Thanks ahead!!

Mine did this when the alternator went bad. I replaced it and both batteries.

Check alternator, battery (the instr panel is turned off in a managed power down).

New batteries again just changed them in feb of last year. But trying to save a buck used wally world NEVER STARTS. Today I bought Motorcraft and the thing spins faster than I can ever remember!!! Thanks for the quick replies!!!!!!!!

Here is something I learned. My batteries died on me one night at work. Got a jump start and ran fine for a few days. Bought two new batteries and was good for two weeks. My wife borrowed the truck and it stranded her on the side of the road from the batteries dying again. Towed the truck home and pulled the alternator off and had it tested. It was bad so I got a new one. I am now 3 months into it with no issues. Check your alternator with a volt meter to make sure it is charging. Just dont want to hear ya getting stranded with dead batteries again.

Hoping that batteries is the problem, just a year old they are covered under warranty. I use Wal Mart batteries and have had good luck usually last 3 to 4 yrs , did you check altenator output?
