I drove home from work yesterday (about 15 miles), shut off my 03 ex and everything was fine. I got back in about 30 minutes later, fired it up and it;s idling off. The engine shakes the truck and the idling is lumpy. I drive slowly for awhile and when the engine gets in the upper band of the rev range the vibration is less to not really noticeable. I stop to buy some injector cleaner, my guess is dirty injectors, and drive about 20 miles and shut it off for a little over an hour or so. I get back in and its fine, so i think. Same routine today, I get home from work and its fine. Go in for a few and then come back out, fire it up and its shaking again. I'm thinking a cylinder is not firing for some reason, but I'm no mechanic by any means. Maybe I got some bad fuel? Has this happened to anyone else? Any and all suggestions are welcome as my wife and I both work and only have two cars and carpooling will not work. HELLLLLPPPPPPPPP!!!!!
It can be several items, I just changed the ICP sensor, located under the turbo on your 03, for a friend of mine last week. He had erratic engine idling then it progressed to surging.

what he said. also check the oil level for an over full crankcase.
Ok, well i got word back from my mechanic that my #8 cylinder isn't firing and that it needs a new harness. Does that sound familiar to anyone? What does this harness do? I'll be sure to ask when they call back but all I know is that it's costing me $400.
