Dave congratulations to you and your son! When Skills Canada was in it's infancy almost 20 years ago, I was fortunate enough to win our provincials in machining, from which, we were invited to compete in the US Nationals. (That year they were in Louisville Kentucky.) It's an impressive event, and for anyone in forums like this that are technically oriented, it would be well worth going to watch. If I recall correctly I finished 12th out of 40+ high school level competitors, but to be honest, I just enjoyed going so much I could have finished last and I'd be happy.
