Just came back in from a walk. It is entirely too nice for me to waste this day here in the belly of the beast. About 2 o'clock, you'll suddenly see me disappear!
Yeah I hate it too. I cussed up a storm welding in floor panels and made a mess out of what I have tried to do so I will save up and pay someone else to do it eventually. I did manage to strip it down and primer it to get rid of any rust but thats pretty much it. I have played with a hammer and dolly and done some work, and where I took the trim off I did weld the holes shut but thats really stretching my talents.
And saving money for body work is hard too LOL. Everyone keeps waiting for me to put one of my motors in it. The current motor is one I bought and just added a few things to like heads, cam, carb, dist and headers. if I ever actually build one I am ont sure I can hook it up.
I restored a 67 Chevelle back around 78, it was rust city, finished it, sold to my cousin, she totaled it coming home from school in an ice storm!
That had to hurt....for you and her! Rob, I'm going to be doing the welding on my 67 F100. Got a MIG for christmas, and I'll practice on old body parts until I'm good enought to attack the truck!
