Door Not latching?

Door Not latching?
The guy i bought my truck from said that the passanger rear door will not latch shut if it is opened from the inside so it has been on child lock for the past 7 years
I went and checked and it still does the same thing now
Does anyone know what causes this?

i dont know i could try that in the morning. If it isnt working though I can get to unhang by pulling the outside door handle and then closing the door.
