Should I sell the 7.3 for 6.0

I haven't been on here for a couple years so I am a little behind on my PSD info.
I have an 01 Excursion 7.3 and I am thinking about selling it and getting an 05 excursion with 6.0.
On my 7.3 I have gauges, air filter, 4" exhaust, turbo cutoff bypassed (can hit 29lbs of boost), DP Tuner 60, 80, 120 and wastegate disabled.
My first question is how would my current set up compare to a stock 6.0 and 2nd, how would my 7.3 compare to a 6.0 with similar mods?
I am aware of some of the issues with the 6.0, did they get all the bugs worked out by 05, anything special I should look out for?
Should I just keep my 7.3?
I also tow a boat on weekends, about 9500 lbs so I would like to know the difference in around town performance not towing and then pulling the boat around with 5-7 passengers.
The 7.3 gets about 18 mpg in city and about 24 hwy.
I live in FL, no hills, just heat.
Posted this in the 6.0 forum also.

the 05-07 (6.0) engines are more reliable, but the 7.3 is by far the MOST RELIABLE IMO
What is the major reason for the change from what you already have to a new version?
The dash and interior may be newer and less ued than your current EX
I will tell you that these older 7.3 equipped Excursion are in HIGH DEMAND!!!!

The truck is in pretty good shape but has the normal wear and tear. I think it has about 140k miles, not a lot for a Diesel but if I could get an 05 with mileage somewhere in the 80k's. I have noticed that the 7.3 are in demand, that is part of my thinking, mine is paid for and I could use the cash other places and finance an 05 at a decent rate. Plus the wife likes the idea of a little newer vehicle (she's the daily driver). We are planning on getting another boat in the next year to year and a half and don't want to be looking at getting the boat and another vehicle at the same time, plus adding mods on both $$$.

I would not recommend chipping a 6.0 unless it has ARP head studs.

IMO i would keep my 7.3 before my 6.0 in my sig. I bought both trucks new and have taken care of them like I am keeping them till I die! The 6.0 is not as forgiving if maintance is slacking as the 7.3!
So my answer is no.

Then keep the 7.3! The 6.0L *can* make more power the the 7.3 with the same mods, but you won't be far off the torque. I made 310/680 on my 7.3, my buddy with similar mods to his 6.0 made 390/700. A lot more HP, but not much more torque. Take it up a notch on the 7.3, and you'll blow away even a tuned 6.0... See my sig.

the 6.0 cant hold a candle to the 7.3 reliability.
