Yet another thread asking about the good ole drivers power window motor.
Mine stopped working in a very slightly down position(so I guess it could have been worse!) and wouldnt go up. I could hear a clicking in the fuse box area when trying to go up. It would go down however. I took the door skin off(I praise the person who designed that little gem that doesnt break $40 worth of clips and such like most door skins) and removed just the motor. After disconnecting it from the regulator(if you doing this be prepared for the tension of the big spring!) I tried the motor again, sure enough worked fine in one direction only. Dissasembled the motor and cleaned the armature etc, reassembled, still nothing.
I purchased what I was told was a good used unit and I still have the identical problem. Is there something else in this system which can go bad?? The relay appears to be the same as the one above it and they both act exactly the same when installed in the power window position(click when trying to go up).
