Im going to change my plugs tomorrow. Im also going to pull the pass. side exhaust manifold to remove a broken stud and change all the studs. Should be a good time. Ive got 98000 on mine and last year I had a plug come loose on me. I found it and retorqued it, checked the rest and have had no problems since. Let you know how it turns out.
Well, did it. It was actually easier than I thought. I work on heavy equipment and this was a walk in the park compared to other things if you have all the right tools! Broke 2 more studs pulling the manifold but nothing an angle drill and some lefty bits couldnt pull out. The gap on the plugs I had pulled out was about .070. Truck still ran great. Seems like it runs a little smoother, but it could just be all in my head.

Running better or not I bet you feel better, right?
When I get a chance I need to replace the studs on my truck. Glad to hear all went well.
After several miles of driving with my mods so far (General maintenance and SCT X3 from 5 Star). I am up to about 11-12mpg in town(up from about 9) and 14-15mpg on the highway(up from about 13).
Last weekend we went on a good ride where I put 200 miles on my truck round trip pulling a 16 ft trailer and my rhino (combo about 3000lbs). Going to the ride I was on all back roads that were slow and curvy (averaging about 40-45mph) spending a lot of time in drive with overdrive locked out and I average 12mpg.
Last time I filled up I decided to try 93 (even though I am using the 5star 87 tune) Today I filled up today with 260 miles on the tank and averaged by hand calculations 12.5mpg with some idling some town driving and some back wood highway driving...
I filled up till it clicked off a couple times to get to the nearest dollar with 93 again..... I drove (casually) another 82 miles after fill up of good highway driving and very little in town, I decided to fill up again on the way home and at 4 gallon it clicked off and several clicks later I finally got 5 gallon in it which would equal 16+mpg (4 would have equaled 20mpg)........ I know at 82 miles it is hard to say but I think next fill up I will try the 93 again and see how it does.....
