oil leak

oil leak
so for the past 1,000 miles or so Ive had a small oil leak. i dont know where it it is coming from! but it gathers where the trans meets the block by the starter/ bell housing. its not a lot just little drips here and there should this be a concern?

clean up the valley real good and then drive it awhile. with the V being nice and clean you can see if the leak is forward (HPOP) or rear of V (pedestal O-rings) possibly. Somebody more knowledgable will chime in here soon. Are you sure its oil and not fuel?

well im not totaly sure,its hard to see down there, but i have stuck things down there and it looks like oil, and doesnt have the strong smell of diesel? whats the safest and easiest way to clean the valley, its pretty hard to get to.

My valley drain is plugged up with cracked acorn shells and battery insulation blanket thanks to the booming squirrel population around my home. Dug out most of the stuff but still some in there. I'm not going to go crazy untill I order the parts for the pedestal and turbo rebuild next month. I have to fix my TPS first to the tune of $180.00
