Ok well i just replaced my pump 2 weeks ago and put power steering fluid in it, should i drain it and put ATF in it? what are the advantages of using ATF?
Not really. But it is sure hard to turn at a stop. Im not sure if thats normal or not but....Im going to flush it out when I get off work and fill it with ATF. Now I feel like a dumb a$$ for not knowing that it takes ATF and not power steering fluid. Those dang guys at the part store screwed me LOL
LOL... I know the feeling. All the fluid requirements are in the owner's manual. The two changes are that they now put 75w-140 in dually rear ends and the front diff, and you can use Mercon V in our transmissions...
im not sure! if it will ruin anything but putting mobile full synthetic made the world of difference! stopped all whining, and much smoother! easy fix thats for sure
