My 1st to 2nd shift in my trans seems late. On moderate acceleration it doesn't shift till right at 18mph, 15 at the earliest. When I really get on it, it will redline and not want to shift. It did the low rpm delay when stock,so I'm not really leaning to programing since the chip. Not really sure about full throttle stock, but now with the stage 1s it climbs so fast I really gota watch it. The trans was rebuilt about 45000 ago and seems fine other wise.
Also which trans cooler line is best to put a filter on pressure or return? It has a small plastic inline filter on it but would like to go with a spin-on if possible. I have some ideas on componets to make a remote. Which line is pressure n return?
1st off i would get rid of that inline filter ford quit using them on the remans main issue is that they can blow apart and if your on a roadtrip and dont notice it before you know it the transmission is toast and as far as your 1st to second shift i may know your problem since i was just faced with the same issue as of last week i have a ford reman trans with 25000 miles on it and it started doing the same thing along with it having a 4 to 5 sec delay when putting in gear before the trans would actually go in gear and what ford found after ruling out the pcm was that the valve in the valve body for the 1st to second shift had a burr or some foreign debree on it keeping it from building proper pressure resulting in an extreme delay in shift all they did was clean and polish the valves and valve guides and so far so good
