hey guys. i want to replace the fuel line on the front of engine.
it is the line that goes to the head on the drivers side under
ac compressor. i have taken off the belt and moved the compressor.
also i have taken 3 bolts out of bracket. the power steering pump
and vac pump are also bolted to this bracket. are there any more
bolts in the bracket. does the powerstreering pump need to come
loose. thanx alot guys for all the help in the past
hey guys i figured it out. the vaccum pump must be removed. there is a bolt
behind the pump. removed 3 10 mm bolts. removed 4 13mm bolts to move bracket.
replaced busted fuel line. all is good now. no leaks
Yeah I think some engineers got bored and decided to put that hidden bolt down there just to make sure that you really really wanted to take that bracket off. I had to do mine not long ago. I used a braided steel line I had. I need to get another one for the passenger side before it pops too
thanx for the response guys. well i just replaced my fuel pump and all of the lines.
i removed the fuel bowl assembly to clean strainer, screen and also to clean out
the vally of death. my fuel pressure doubled and i guess put more pressure on
the weak lines. now i have to pull my oil cooler. leaks oil and my antifreeze
is a little dark looking.
