Well there you go. Direct experience with the product. There are other options out there for digi-gauges, if you like that sort of thing. I can't remember who makes it, but there is a display product out there that does a ton of stuff, has the analog gauge emulation, and is better than the Edge. Wish I could remember who made it -- maybe someone that does will chime in...

i also had the edge and if you go with those gauges it wont read the boost and other parameters right because it takes the reading from the obd2

Again thanks for the info guys. I forgot all about the shop in lead hill. My cousin actually lives not to far from there and had told me about them before. Thanks for all the insite on the edge crap. I definetly dont want to toast another tranny so that is out. I looked at some of those other gauges last night. One question I guess what is the diffrence between the full sweep electric and mechanical.
thanks again
Joe

Well I am supposed to pick my truck up Monday morning so I will figure out exactly what was done to it, and go from there. Thanks for the D-M link on the gauges. I was just thinking they may take me some getting used to being right there on the pillar, but they do look pretty nice also.
Is the ISSPRO the best analoge gauges I can get? I like to do it right the first time so the edge stuff is OUT it looks like.
thanks again to all

Yes... My trans temp gauge is now redundant. I'm thinking I'll plumb it in to read coolant temps instead.

So the scan gauge is a good way to go???
Where would I be able to check out one of those??

Nevermind I see now it is not so good because it is read through the OBD2

I will get it figrued out sooner or later

I like mine, a lot. BUT, I like my dedicated boost/EGT analog gauges. If I were to do it over again, I'd get those with a Scan Gauge for everything else. Here's where I got mine:
Terminator Engineering

Here's what mine looks like:

EDIT: Here's a short vid where you can see it reading my ICP in real-time & Engine Oil Temp...

Just wondering? I went to the terminator site and they offer a dual gauge kit.
If this thing takes care of all of those parameteres why would you need two?

because you can only read 2 pids at a time and most of use need to read at least 3 of them espeacially if you have a auto trans.if i had to do it again i would get egt, pyro, boost and the scan to read icp or something else.

Im for the standard analog gauges. John Wood Valve Body which comes with Transgo plate. Mad a big difference to my box. I also had a edge programmer and have just changed to DP Tuner. The Difference is un believable.

That's "sort of" true. There is a "Cyclic Scan" function that you can set up so the gauge cycles through 8 different pids. Pretty handy.

Back to the transmission cooling, at least some of the earliest 99's didn't have a radiator cooler for the transmission. Ford replaced my radiator with the newer one which had the transmission cooler when they replaced my first transmission under warranty. If the truck doesn't have this I would consider it along with or maybe before the 6.0 cooler.

The advantage to the gauges on the pillar is that you don't have to take your eyes away from the road to read them. There is also the option of an underdash mount that is $3 less and also looks nice if you would rather.

Isspro is good stuff. They are OEM in many semi trucks, ag and construction equipment, and made in USA.
