Strange A/C problem.

Strange A/C problem.
last week the a/c wasn't getting cold, and I figured out I needed a can of freeon. So now the compressor cycles properly. The new problem is now the front a/c won't get cold unless the rear a/c is in use. Usually it's the other way around I know. So whats the deal?

Well when I have my guage hooked up to the low side on the accumulator, it shows 45 w/out the compressor running, and when the compressor kicks on, it slowly drops to 25. On my guage it shown 0-25 is green and "LOW", 25-45 is "FULL" and is blue. Seems to be cycling properly. I did notice that when the rear is turned on, the compressor runs constantly, which may be making the front colder. It shouldn't be that way though. Isn't it hard on the compressor to run constantly? I keep the can of freeon hooked up for a while to see if it will draw more in and it doesn't.
