No not good news, why you have to drop it? Can't get the tc in without doing so?
If so you might have luck pulling all the spark plugs, have someone spin the motor via the harmonic center bolt while you try and push the tc into the trans with your hands or with a large, long screwdriver or bar.
To have the best chance you'd probably have to back off the bell housing bolts, open the gap as far as you can while keeping it on the pins. Then block em, motor and trans to hold it so that gap is dead on even all the way around.
Rotate the motor while pushing the tc back into the trans, doing so should allow it to drop fully into place.
Unless you already got it to go together right, found the trans was damaged?
Could not get it to line up. Even with the tranny away from the engine I cant get the TC to line up. I looked behind the TC could not see any damage to the pump. But what do
I look for.

That's the problem, you won't know if any damage was done until you get it back in right. Anything happen to it will be internal, you wouldn't be able to see it.
The tranny is back in, 4 bell housing bolts in and tight. Every things turns.
will tighten the cross member tomorrow and get back to the last few engine parts.
No fuel in rail. Do I need to prim the pump, or any thing like that? just did the engine swap, truck sat for months before that.
No prime needed, you might have just missed connecting a power lead at some point depending on what all you had apart.
Not sure if you stated it but what year is this truck? knowing would narrow down where to look.
Its had sat for months isn't real good though either, I resurrected a bronco it sat for couple years. More to the point the fuel pumps where good when it was parked, had to replace the in tank pump to get it running though. All that time sitting in that old fuel in the tank killed it, fuel had turned. It was all gummed up and the screen on it was hard and crumbling.
OK update. Can hear the pump on the front tank gauge is on E so going to try to get some gas on way home from work tomorrow. But I'm flat broke, need to get this truck done.
So got some gas today got fuel to the rail now but have a leak. there is a soft line on the back that goes from one rail to the other it is scuffed and leaks.
Can this line be replaced?
OR
The 150 engine has two lines on the rails two soft lines.
The 250 engine has only one line
they look interchangeable? Are they?
