throttle postion sensor
I have a 5.4L triton motor in a 2001 F250 Superduty xlt shortbed supercab. i was told by a mechanic they think my throttle position sensor is outa wak. How do I check that or fix the prob without buying a new one?

I had to replace my TPS recently. The engine would barely start, not hold idle, then die. I purchased the TPS from Ed for $59.98 plus $9.50 shipping. My local Ford dealership wanted $113.00. Be very careful installing the part... the two torx screws can be damaged very easily. Otherwise, it's an extremely easy job.
