Weird Transmission thing

Has this ever happened to any of you?
I was parked "Looking for my door code under the dash" and when I went to leave I put the Ex in reverse & it didn't move.
I gave it some gas & it still didn't move. I put it back in to park and then reverse and gave it more gas, the truck seemed to "unfreeze" and flew into reverse.

Check your ATF level.

do you have play in your shifter. It is possible you are not lining up right.

I did, everything looks good there. I'm having it changed Monday

I thought that too but the truck was almost "frozen" like the emergency brake was on & then suddenly released.

so you could feel it was engaged just something holding back like you are sitting at the start oof the 1/4 mile race?

Hey Nj,
No update as of yet but then it has not happened again either. I can olny assume that one of the calipers were frozen open and then retracted when I moved.
