Rear Air Conditioning

I checked the rear ac in the Ex last night & it was not blowing cold air.
The manual says that ac only comes from the front instrument cluster.
How is the rear ac turned on, maybe I am doing something wrong
Thanks

For the rear air to get conditioned (cold) air, the mode control for the front has to be in an AC position (if you have a dial-selctor then: AC, MAX AC, or feet and vents, if you have the electronic control, AC button will have to be pushed), otherwise you're just getting outside air.

Hmmm...I know the switch for the front vents needs to be selcted to AC to get the compressor running.

Come to think of it, I think there's a condenser or something (along with the fan for the rear vents) on the passenger side in the back in the compartment where the jack is stowed. I know my Xs drip water from back there when we use the AC in the summer. Maybe you have a blockage or leak back there?

What i am doing is turning the ac on & then turning the rear vents on high and then over to cold on the manual dial selector for the rear,
It should blow ac air in the back correct?

Assuming that you are getting cold air out of the front vents, then it appears that the Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) in the rear is defective.

I have the same issue with mine. Where and how do you replace/check the TXV? Thanks.
