Opinions on re-programmers please

I am thinking of getting a reprogrammer for my X. (05 V-10 Limited AutoTrans)

I tow a 33' TT. going cross country again. Even with V10 she felt like she needed some help up hill. Mostly in the Rock Moutains. At one point i was going to make the Mother-in-law get out and push.

Who has what and how do they work for you?

Set programs or adjustable?

thanks
Rich

Call Mike @ FiveStar tuning. He's a vendor that sponsors the V10 forum below this one. You'll be more than pleased, and will notice a day and night difference in your vehicle.

+1, what Johnny said. Not that I know because I don't own a V10, but I've read a lot of posts extolling the virtues of Mike's tunes.

Check out this thread by my buddy Joe. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...ml#post8146870

i've had my SCT3 tuner from mike for about 2 months now and all i can say is WOW! the power differance and shifting in the tranny make it so much more fun to drive. the tranny isnt hunting anymore and the motor pulls so much harder well past 100mph.

its more then worth it and the service mike provides second to none hes one of the best guys i've delt with. a++ from me!

Sounds like a custom tune is in my future too. I find it hard to believe that it is a night and day difference, as I have never experienced that with any tuner or tune I have bought, but I am sure it will help a little. Get the speedo fixed for the 35s too.

i had my reservations also, but it is a true night and day difference. the way the motor revs faster/easier, how the tranny shifts, the TQ converter locks much sooner and stays locked, O/D doesnt kick in untill 60mph(i may change that to 65) and theres more but those were the more ovbious ones. not to mention how hard it pulls and quicker/easier it downshifts.
