Fender skirts

I tried searching to see if this was discussed before, but couldn't find anything.

Does anyone know if the fender skirts from a Ford car will fit the rear fenders of a truck? If so, what year car fender skirts should I look for?

I'm thinking about adding a set onto my Panel.

Thanks.

Fender skirts are pretty specific to match the shape of the wheel opening. I could be wrong, (there's a first for everything, lol) but I don't see any car being identical to the panel truck. As noted, they're even different from the pickup. I'm guessing you're looking at a custom fabrication job. Would be cool, though. ;-)

I have talked to the guy at all the car parts 3 day swap meets and I tried fitting some on my truck just for grins.

He says the skirts off a 41-48 Ford (or 39-48 Mercury) will work - and they seemed to.

Here is a picture of a truck with skirts. But note these are not the 41-48 Ford ones (which ARE in the lower picture)...they are a very odd shape for our wheel wells:

I guess it all depends on if you want something that looks tacked on, or fitted to the opening.

I think it would be a fairly easy fab job to make a custom set.

I think I can refer you to my friend who had a fender skirts. You should look for the good set to add in your panel.
