I had the chance to head down to the local auto show on the weekend and Ford had 3 2011 F350 FX4's on display. I sat in each truck and gave it a look and all I can say is that I was less than impressed. Interiors on the truck remain basically unchanged from my 08 with the addition of some really cheap looking leather inserts in the seats. They also added a floor console in front of the center console with the bucket seats and other than that everything looked exactly the same. I talked to a couple of the Ford reps standing near by and can you believe they won't give any MPG estimates for the 6.7? haha They did talk it up and say it has more power than the 6.4 and they are "hoping" for a 20% increase in MPG.
The best part of all is that the sticker price is now 77k, that's right $77,000 and that was for the FX4. Sticker on my 08 was $67k and I thought that was rediculous so their answer was to jack it up another 10k. I asked the guys how they justified that and their response was that they had made "alot" of changes to the truck, namely the motor, 6spd tranny and now you can use your PTO while driving and not only in park. Not sure about you but none of those changes add up to 10k to me. All I can say is the 6.7 better get 35 MPG in order for anyone to justify shelling out another 10k on a SD. I sure hope this motor does what everyone hopes it will but I still think Ford needs to take a good long look at their pricing if they want to stay competitive in todays market.
Sorry for rambling but I just wanted to pass on my initial thoughts.
Was that in Canadian dollars? Oh wait a minute, our economy is so far in the toilet we a re at 1 to 1 conversion now. Dammit. I had hoped.
I don't like the looks of the new truck, don't want to add yet another step in the environmentally friendly way the tree huggers have gotten the government to make these things fuel guzzlers and Ford still does not have my trust that they will make a better motor than IH.
Just curious... Why was sticker on your truck 67K? That is very high! Mine was not even that high and it is a 2010 Harley Davidson, Crew Cab, Long Bed, F-350.
Is there some kind of delivery charge for Canada? I know US dollar and Canadian Dollar is close right now.

Sticker on mine was 67k but I paid 57k, a bit of a savings but still much higher than US pricing. MSRP on all vehicles has always been more in Canada just because they like to bend us over. People really noticed it a year or 2 ago when the dollar got to par with the US and lots of people started heading south of the border to buy their vehicles. The Canadian government wasn't happy about this (nor were Canadian dealers) so the government made it harder for consumers to do this and Canadian Dealers started denying all warranty work on anything not purchased in Canada. No one up here is happy about it but not much we can do at this point.
The fact that they didn't change the interior much was a good thing in my opinion, since I really love the interior in my Lariat. I think it was a huuuuge step up from the last truck. And as far as exterior, I think it looks pretty good, I like our 6.4 body style better. However, when I had my 6.0, I thought the new trucks were butt ugly! I really did. Once I started seeing them on the road though they grew on me. Now when I see my truck next to the 6.0 truck... I think our trucks are waaaaay better looking. The 6.0 looks soft compared to the 6.4!
That is exactly why I will not be getting one, my 08 will last me for a good log time.
Hear hear.

Mine was similar, sticker was $55.5 before my upgrades (everything above the Line-X in my sig) walked out with $49.5 and 0% for 60. The GM is a friend of my brother. Been very happy with my truck and don't see any reason to upgrade to a 2011+
