Tach acting up
hello all my tach works fine Most of the time, but when I put the headlights on it drops down about 500 rpm and some times it reads 0 rpm till I rev it up.. I read other post about the wires and they look good. is there any thing else to check? thanks..

It does sound like the sensor is going out. I guess electrical interference can be a side effect. Mine used to bounce with the turn signals and wouldn't work at all until the truck had warmed up.
Yoter, it's on the IP gear cover, sort of hidden under your vacumn pump.

trucks comin along slowly. Got the rad fixed and some parts gathered up. Im buildin me a kick *** bumper for it. Next thing i hit is gonna have a snowflakes chance in hell of winning lol
