Ok, I have an 88 ford f150 and the wipers park vertically! when I turn them on, they come down to where there supposed to park then go back up (to park) I just got the truck from a good friend of mine and he replaced the wiper motor. just wonder if he did something wrong backwards!
thank you.
Andrew.

There is your problem in bold. The bell crank is off by 180 degrees. Been there, done that and I still have the scars on my hands to prove it. The wiper drive motor only turns one direction. It's the bell crank that makes the wipers sweep back and forth.
I have seen more than a few replacement wiper motors come out of the box not in the PARK position. This usually results in the bell crank being installed 180 degrees out of position. The wipers will stop/park at the top of the arc, not the bottom.
