2011 Superduty Build & Price link up and Question

I found this over the weekend and wanted to share.

Build an F250 - http://bp2.forddirect.fordvehicles.c...#page=/Models/

Build an F350 - http://bp2.forddirect.fordvehicles.c...#page=/Models/

Build an F450 - http://bp2.forddirect.fordvehicles.c...#page=/Models/

It looks like it still is in the works since some of the pictures are incomplete.

My question is about the seating options in the Lariat, you can choose from 40/20/40 and 40/console/40. From the pictures that show up when you click on that option, it seems that they are backwards.

Isn’t 40/20/40 the option with a flip-up console in the middle with a seat and 40/console/40 having the newly redesigned console without the option for a center seat? Is that correct?

I used THIS link at Bobby William's ProFleetSales site to spec out the truck I put on order Saturday. No pictures but it does get the spec codes and pricing correct.

FWIW.

The site is still in BETA I'm sure and will have a few glitches like the image issue.
The 250 build seemed good enough but it took a few trys.

My understanding is the same as yours. The 20 is the flip up.
Previous models with the 40/console/40 had the standard console so I think it's safe to assume the new "flow through" console is part of the 40/console/40 option.

Using the above links I get an approximate $6,000 difference between like equipped 350s and 450s Lariats. Is a 2011 450 worth that much more?

I looked at the specs sheet.
I'll list the crew 350 drw 4x4 vs 450 drw 4x4.

Conventional towing - both 16,000
Fifth-wheel towing - 20,300 vs 24,400
Max GVWR - 13,000 vs 13,050
Payload - 4,700 vs 4,920

It says the 450 only offers 17 in wheels but I don't know about that.
I haven't put much research into the DRW trucks because I don't need that much truck right now.
The sheet also states "specs subjet to change" lol.

So you can only get a 3.55 electronic locking differential, no more 3.73? Hmmm That sounds like a way to get an increase in MPG no? I guess you probably won't even know the difference.

I would think with the trans being 6 speed now, that a 3.55 would be sufficent enough for that big of a truck.

My truck fully loaded Lariat came out to $61,055! Which is $4,000 more than my current truck. I think I may have snuck a few extra options in there though. The retarded thing is, is that these numbers are meaningless. Knock about $10,000 of MSRP and now you are in the ballpark.

Ya good point, I didn't think about that. But my buddy has a duramax he has a 6spd allison with a 3.73 rear. I would think it would be an option at least.

Does anyone know about what tdstuck was reffering to? I ordered mine with console in the middle not the mini seat. It is stated as 40/console/40 seat on my order sheet. I believe thats with a center console in between front seats? I hope I got that right? Website has it backwards I hope?? Please chime in guys....

When I first posted this information the photos were reversed for the seating. When you selected the 40/console/40 on the Lariat for example, the 40/20/40 photo would be posted. They have since corrected this issue.

I think it still has bugs because when I choose XLT apperance package, it wanted to remove 4x4 as an option.
Later, it didn't want to remove 4x4 but it wanted to mess with the axel ratio.
I chose 4x4 and I think the dealer put the apperance package on my order so I better get 4x4. I don't have my papers with me to be sure that the apperance package exists on my order.
