That sounds like on the bumper itself. You saw it stamped by where the ball would go I assume?

Well, according to the pdf above, it's 500# for the bumper, with a 5,000# max tow weight. The hitch receiver is rated a little better at 1250# or 12,500 WD for tongue weight.
