I am not sure if this has been covered
My door hinges were worn out and spending $50.00 each was out of the question. I found a door hinge pin & bushing kit that was for a GM. The only modification I did was to open the hole that the bushing goes into. It was close but a little tight. I used a 31/64 drill bit which worked perfect.
The bushing kit is made by HELP! Doorman part # 38400
I have rebuilt 3 hinges and all seem to work good. I ran out time but hope to do the last one next week.
I discovered something handy on the ford door hinges. On the 78 and 79s you always wear out the hinges on the drivers side and the pass side are good. I found that they are the same hinge... I usually am doing a cab change so I Just take the pass side door hinges off the old cab, turn them upside down and you have driver side hinges.
