Door Hinges

I noticed the drivers side door "drops" a little bit when I open it. The top hinge has some play in it. This, of course, destroyed the striker bushing. I can get the bushing at the auto parts store, no biggie. Is there a hinge kit available for the OBS trucks, or do I have to get the whole hinge? Thanks.

Yes there is a pin and bushing kit availible for the hinges. The one I buy from Napa come with hardware for 1 hinge so to do a whole door you need two kits.

you might be able to bend it back into place with a pry bar under your door and onto the floor of your truck. I think thats the way we did that on my buddy's 97 and it worked and didnt ruin anything. i dont blame you tho if you dont wanna do that, but i dont know the answer to your question sorry, just my 2 cents

Yes ,, make sure you DO NOT REMOVE THE HINGES FROM THE BODY...(did I say that loud enough)?

You can actually do one hinge at a time ,without removing the door,,,,,

yep what Rick said! The top and bottom pins are different lenght but the kit makes provision for that.

Again, much thanks.

Good luck. It is not hard just have a jack or stands to support the door. Looks like you are on the right track here.

Wow! That was easy. An air chessel on the old pins. Had'em out in 5 minutes. I did find that putting a slight bevel on the edge of the bushings with a sander made it a lot easier to start them in the hole. Once again, grassy-***.
